Proper education is extremely important in every aspect of our lives. However, there is no instruction that can equal the importance of learning God’s word. In John 8:32 Jesus made a statement that emphasizes the importance of our knowing truth, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” We learn what truth is in John 17:17. Jesus was talking to His Father and he said, “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.”
Studying God’s word is essential for every person, from the very young to the very old. Solomon knew the importance of a child’s learning God’s word . “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) David wrote about the influence of God’s word on young men. “How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.” (Psalm 119:9) David also acknowledged his dependence on God’s word. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
Bible study is one of our primary activities when we come together. From the time that a child is able to sit alone, he or she can go to a Bible class and start learning about God. Our school-age children are divided into grade-specific classes. Since the Bible is the only book in the world from which one can never graduate, we have three adult classes on Sunday morning. Each of the adult classes is taught by one of our elders.
We hope that you will accept our invitation to come study God’s word with us.
